Nord Jewelers was founded in 1971 by Bill Nord. He previously had owned Carl V. Reck Jewelers with his brother-in-law where he worked for over 20 years. Nord Jewelers started out very small in the basement of the Comerica building in a tucked away location. Gradually the business grew to the point that Bill could not handle being alone so he asked son Jeff to join him in the business. Jeff readily agreed and came aboard in 1980.
In a few more years they added another employee and the location was becoming a bit cramped so they moved to their current location at 220 W. Michigan. In 2000 Bill decided to retire and Jeff took over the day to day operation of the store. In order to provide an enhanced shopping experience Jeff decided to give the store a much needed makeover in 2003.
Since Nord Jewelers inception they have been dedicated to giving each customer the most satisfying experience possible. From a simple repair to helping you pick out your dream engagement ring, Nord Jewelers want everyone to feel that they are important to them. Nord Jewelers will do their best to serve you with honesty and integrity whenever you visit.
Nord Jewelers is a full service Jeweler. We do not just sell jewelry and watches we also repair them. We also provide appraisals through our GIA certified gemologist. We welcome the customer that wants something custom made. Our staff is more than capable of helping you design your own unique piece of jewelry.
Having an onsite jeweler is also a big plus for our customers, and with Jeffs vast jewelry knowledge your questions can be swiftly addressed. At Nords our goal is to turn customers into friends and dreams into reality.
