Steve Pronko began his career in 1928 as a watchmaker in his brother’s pharmacy. Steve taught himself the watch making trade, taking apart, and reassembling watches dating back as early as 1916. His first store was located in Peckville, Pennsylvania. Steve worked in this location repairing watches, selling electronics, and appliances.

After WWII, Steve noticed that the returning servicemen were in need of engagement rings and wedding bands. He took advantage of this opportunity by expanding his business to include bridal jewelry. As the business expanded, Steve moved to our current home in Dickson City, Pennsylvania.

In 1973, Steve’s son Dave started working at the store full time and began incorporating fine jewelry into the store’s merchandise. Dave changed the merchandise mix to incorporate more gold and diamond jewelry and also added jewelry repair to the already flourishing watch repair business.

Dave’s wife Lynda joined the store in the 1980’s. Lynda became the face of the business with her radiant smile and warm demeanor, people looked forward to seeing her as they walked in the door.

Dave and Lynda’s son Nick began his career within the store in 2005. He is leading the store into its third generation of business. Nick focuses his energy on product knowledge and jewelry education to ensure the best service possible. In 2012, Nick earned his Graduate Gemologist degree from the Gemological Institute of America and in 2014 earned his Certified Gemologist Appraiser title from the American Gem Society.
